Hello, Demis Roussos fans around the world! This tribute album is dedicated to my late and dear friend and music collaborator, Demis Roussos, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday. This is also ‘my story’. My tribute single, 'My Only Forever', which incorporates in the ‘lyrics’, all the ‘song titles’ of Demis’ greatest hits, is sung by Harry K in the way it will be performed in my upcoming FOREVER AND EVER THE MUSICAL® - a romantic love story set on Crete & Mykonos in 1969, when Demis would have been 21 years old. First heard during a moving scene in Act 2, the song is an homage to Demis and the great songs he recorded between 1967 with his band, Aphrodite’s Child, and as a solo artist; up until 1986 - the year I worked with him and his brilliant music partner, Jiannis Zografos, at Turboways Studio in London - which had a magic vibe! I wrote eight songs for Demis; including, ‘Follow Me’, ‘The One That I Loved’, ‘Our Destiny,’ My Lovely Senorita’, ‘Our Summer Wonderland’, ‘I Found You’ (especially written for Demis and Pamela - who had not long since married) and the hit singles, ‘Island of Love’ and ‘Summer in Her Eyes’. Albums containing my songs with Demis have been released by Bert van Breda on his excellent BR Music label in Holland and have sold more than 5 million copies - gaining me gold discs.

Impressed by Harry K’s impression of his voice, Demis invited him to tour with him and sing harmonies. The second song here is Harry K singing ‘My Only Forever’, as an impression of Demis. The tribute album features 6 more sound-alike songs of mine recorded by Harry K in 1986 as demos for Demis to listen to and record. Tragically, the tracks that Demis laid down of my demos were stolen from the studio and these ‘rare’ demo recordings (recently re-discovered in my archives), are all that remain for fans to hear and ‘imagine’ what it would have been like if Demis had finished recording the songs and released with other songs of mine on the album, ‘Greater Love’. It was the release of this album in 1986 (spearheaded by my single, ‘Island of Love’), which re-launched Demis back on the scene, following a lull in his career. The demos have now been digitally re-mastered for the tribute album. I wrote ‘My Only Forever’ after speaking with Demis on the telephone shortly before he became ill, when we made enthusiastic plans to work on a new music project together. Demis thought that a song incorporating the titles of all of his hits was a “fantastic idea” and looked forward to recording it, adding, “You are good for me and I am good for you”. This is a sentiment that I also take as an endorsement of my musical by Demis - inspiring me forward! Although Demis and I sadly never got to work together again, or for him to record ‘My Only Forever’ (due to his declining health), I hope that the enthusiasm and vision that Demis and I shared on the telephone that day will ‘take flight’ in my musical, and that Demis’ legion of loyal fans around the world will share our enthusiasm and vision and support the musical.

The lead female role in FOREVER AND EVER THE MUSICAL® will be performed by Eleni Violaris (my daughter) when it opens in London’s West End, as well as in other countries. Eleni, who is a talented singer, actress & classical dancer, made a huge impression on Demis with her debut album, 'Rainstriker', saying he would record with Eleni anytime “with pleasure”.
